A short break from events over the holidays has allowed time to update our website with new images as well as listing a number of new items on etsy, folksy and MISI.

See our website (link to the right) for more details.

It’s also been a busy time for taking bookings for out handmade market in Sheffield. Already getting excited and it’s over 2 months away lol.

Handmade Market Sheffield 10/12/2009

We are looking for stallholders for our handmade market on Saturday 6th March. The event will be held at Workstation in Sheffield. It’s a great venue in the city centre, right near the bus and train stations and across from Sheffield Hallam Student Union building.

We are looking to get a wide variety of high quality stalls and all must only be selling products which are handmade by the stall holder. We are particularly looking for stalls selling unique items.

To ensure we get a good mix of stalls we will be vetting each application. We recommend that your application is submitted early (particularly for popular areas such as cards and jewellery) to avoid disappointment.

All of our events have free admission to the public to increase footfall.

Stalls cost £35 with table and £30 without.

Website is Live! 26/11/2009

Spent most of yesterday getting our new website sorted. I’ll probably add to/change things around before I’m completely happy with it but it is now live.

HouseOfSalvage.co.uk

Our event dates are on there, contact details, about us, pictures of our products etc. Essentially it’s to make it easier to give out web details (one easy to remember address) that links everything else (blog, etsy etc)

Our new email is: enquiries@houseofsalvage.co.uk

Our Twitter name has also changed to “HouseOfSalvage” but shouldn’t affect anyone who’s already following (other than seeing a different name on their feed)

Should probably go and make something now, lol

One rainy day at the craft fair Danny got bored and made a pom pom. He then wanted a hat to put it on so we made him one in his team colours.

Sheffield Hallam Student Market 06/11/2009

We were at Sheffield Hallam University today. They’ve just started having a ‘mini-market’ in the entrance hall of the Student Union building. Lots of interest in our products and reasonable takings considering it’s a relatively new event so foot-flow could have been better (and hopefully will be once the students get to know that it’s there). Students seemed to really like our stuff as well which is fab!

Now we’re just hoping that the rest of the weekend is as good haha.
